Donkin Fans the Export Market
Donkin Fans has scored in the export market again, having recently completed the supply of axial fans to a cement plant in Western Africa and currently supplying HVAC fans to a prestige project in Dubaits are:
Andy Crowe Donkin Fans sales director, said the Western African contract was for the manufacture and supply of 50 fans for "shell cooling".
“The fans are being used for dryer shell cooling, providing a lower operating / surface temperature which will extend the life of the internal refractory lining, thereby reducing the down-time required to reline the dryers." The fans supplied are Majax-2 710mm Axial flow fans with 5,5kW motors, complete with stands, discharge nozzles and a centralised electrical panel for monitoring the fans and controlling starts and stops.
“We have exceeded the client's expectations to the point where we are expecting another order for similar 20 complete units, and we have been approached by their sister company to supply the same equipment for other plants elsewhere in Africa” Mr Crowe said.
